Trevor MacDougall Obituary – Death ROTHESAY, New Brunswick — Trevor Stairs MacDougall passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, leaving his family, friends, and community heartbroken. He was 55.
Trevor Stairs MacDougall was born on December 1, 1970, in Saint John, New Brunswick, the beloved son of Graham and Lynn MacDougall (Spencer). His life was defined by deep family devotion, professional excellence, and a passion for the people and pursuits he loved most.
Trevor was the loving husband of Ali McGill, with whom he shared a relationship grounded in unwavering love, partnership, and joy. Together, they built a life centered on family, raising their children — Nick, Neel, and Leena — with pride and dedication. Much of their time was spent in basketball gymnasiums cheering on their children, travelling, and enjoying the simple but meaningful moments of being together.
A graduate of Kennebecasis Valley High School in 1988, Trevor went on to earn both a Bachelor of Science and an MBA from Dalhousie University. He returned to Saint John to build a successful career in banking and wealth management, earning a strong reputation for his client-focused approach. At BMO Nesbitt Burns, he was not only respected professionally but also deeply valued by colleagues who considered him family.
Outside of his career, Trevor embraced life with enthusiasm. He enjoyed spending time with lifelong friends and family, whether fishing, golfing, or sharing everyday moments. He had a particular passion for cars, especially Porsches, and remained a lifelong learner with a curious and engaged mind.
Golf held a special place in his life. As a proud member of Riverside Country Club, Trevor developed his skills from a young age, eventually becoming a provincial champion in 1989. His talent and dedication carried him to compete at national levels, marking a significant achievement in his sporting life.
Those who knew Trevor remember him as a warm, dedicated, and driven individual — a man whose greatest pride was his family and whose presence brought strength and joy to those around him.
His sudden passing has left a profound void in the Rothesay and Saint John communities, where he was admired not only for his professional accomplishments but for his character and generosity.
Trevor MacDougall is survived by his wife, children, parents, extended family, and a wide circle of friends and colleagues who now carry forward his memory.
Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in the coming days as loved ones gather to celebrate a life defined by love, achievement, and enduring connection.
